    Crafting profitable business plans for artists & managers with a fair, present deal structure. Based in Los Angeles, I founded the company in 2017 & am responsible for all signings as well as business operations.

    Designed a forward-facing bespoke brand aesthetic & an impressive streamlined backend system for clients & partners. Providing top tier campaign management, asset organization & seamless workflows.

    Because Music is a globally revered independent music group founded by Emmanuel de Buretel with offices in Paris, London & Los Angeles.

    In partnership with Virgin Music, I was responsible for overseeing multimillion-dollar marketing budgets across Because Music & its distributed labels.

    Designed & executed domestic commercial campaigns for projects with direct communication & interaction with our artists & managers, led & localized digital marketing strategies to drive audience acquisition & fan engagement, increased streaming consumption & on platform marketing thru pitching & relationships at digital service providers, hired & paid all third parties including independent publicity & radio promotion, petitioned for international artists visas & worked with agents to strategize touring, and raised awareness for our artists, brands, labels & partners in the US.

    The roster consists of Amadou & Mariam, Breakbot, Christine and the Queens, Charlotte Adigéry & Bolis Pupul, Django Django, Justice, Logic1000, Manu Chao, Metronomy, Myd, Shygirl & several more.

    Responsible for leading marketing & operations in North America for a London based independent record label & its imprints of Big Dada, Brainfeeder, Counter Records, R'COUP'D, Technicolour & Werkdiscs.

    Supervised a Los Angeles based staff of assistants, coordinators, and project managers. Managed all third party hires & retainers in Canada, Mexico & USA including independent press & radio promotion, and oversaw physical distribution. Served as direct point of contact with Redeye, as well as representing the company via A2IM & GRAMMYs.

    Worked closely with Inertia, aiding in coordinating our marketing with Australia & New Zealand. Successfully aided A&R with artist signings.

    Promoted from the position of Senior Product Manager, working then & as GM with priority artists such as Bicep, Big Wild, Bonobo, Chrome Sparks, Fink, Floating Points, Jordan Rakei, Kasbo, Little Dragon, Maribou State, ODESZA, RAC & Young Fathers amongst many others.

    Ran global marketing campaigns for a diverse roster of artists, across a wide range of genres, responsible for all creative & fiscal results of each project. Collaborated closely with sister label, Nonesuch Records.

    Coordinated digital & physical release planning for every aspect of product development including audio delivery, packaging design, retail pricing, manufacturing quantities, copy & credits, and artist approval.

    Collaborated on the ideation of creative marketing tools including artwork, logos, photos and videos as well as commissioning of remixes. Provided internal assets regularly, i.e. weekly one-sheets.

    Acted as primary label contact, alongside A&R, for each party of the artist’s team. Worked side by side with the talent as well as their agent, lawyer, manager & tour manager, promoter, publicist and publisher.

    Scouted, contracted & paid all third party advertising & marketing partners. Responsible for delivery of all applicable marketing assets.

    Roster included Lake Street Dive, Bette Midler, Nile Rodgers, Idina Menzel, Enya, LP, Tegan and Sara, AJR & Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber.
